Theodoros “Ted” Vlahoyiannis, PT, Owner, Co-Founder

Ted holds a bachelor’s degree in health science policy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and received his physical therapy degree from the physical therapy program at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Ted has been treating patients with compassion and care for over 30 years. He practiced at Franklin Square Hospital’s physical therapy clinics before embarking on a career in private practice in 1988. Co-founder of Advanced Care Physical Therapy in 1995 with late business partner, E. Christopher Glavaris, PT, DScPT, Ted owns and operates the clinic, while continuing to treat patients.
 
Ted has extensive experience in orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, aquatic and vestibular physical therapy with a focus on manual therapies. He has also been involved with women’s physical therapy healthcare and treats these patients on a case-by-case basis.
 
Ted served for nine years as an adjunct clinical instructor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, Physical Therapy Department. Ted continues to be active in his community and has volunteered for many organizations and activities. He is currently strongly involved with his church youth group in dual roles as an advisor and basketball coach.
