Susan Schehr has joined Advanced Care Physical Therapy in September of 2014. After 30 years as president and director of her own clinic, most recently called Rosenblatt-Schehr, P.A. - Pain Relief & Sports Rehabilitation Physical Therapy Center, she is now focused on healing her patients and leaving the business part to us. Susan and Advanced Care Physical Therapy share the same 1-on-1, hands-on philosophy for patient care.
Initially a student in the Honors Program at the University of Maryland, College Park, Susan transferred and graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Physical Therapy, and later continued her education at the University of Montana at Missoula, where she received a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
She has over 30 years of experience, including positions as Director of Physical Therapy at 2 area nursing homes and Director of Outpatient Cardiac Rehab. Susan has been a member of the APTA since 1979, has mentored physical therapy students and new graduates, and is active in various community fundraisers.
Her specialty is the treatment of patients for whom other treatments have failed in the past. In addition to traditional physical therapy treatments, she uses positional release, myofascial release, muscle energy, craniosacral therapy, visceral mobilization, joint mobilization, and scar mobilization.
